In just a few days, Senators will be voting on a package that contains some key climate measures, including climate policies as well as programs for health care, education, immigration, and more.
The Budget Reconciliation package and it may be our last, best chance to pass strong federal climate legislation for the next decade. Therefore, it’s important that as many people as possible contact their Senators in the next two weeks, and urge them to go big and bold on the climate legislation in the package.
Want more information on what the package entails? Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) will present the climate policies included – and what it means to put a price on carbon!

For Immediate Action
This weekend we will endure multiple climate change induced events (a heat dome, wildfire smoke, and drought). During this time, we urge you to take just 3-5 minutes to tell your elected officials what you think.
- Sacramento Citizen’s Climate Lobby: Take just 3 minutes to ask Senators to put a price on carbon >> Be sure to include a sentence stating why climate change is of concern to you.
- 350 Bay Area: Tell Congress to pass strong climate legislation now >>
- Share this blog post with your friends and family, especially if they’re in red or purple states! Writing and calling senators in red/purple states is vitally important, but we need all Senators to receive as many calls and emails as possible.
