It’s that time of the year once again to give to your favorite local non-profit organization! This event is called the Big Day of Giving (BDOG), thanks to the Sacramento Region Community Foundation that puts it on every year. The giving challenge is held from April 21 – May 5, 2022.
Be sure to mark that one on your calendar right now. I’ll wait.

Okay, now that it’s on your calendar, the ball has already started rolling so let’s catch you up on a few things.
Create a Fundraising Page
Starting Thursday, April 21, you will have the option to make your gift directly on our website here or on our organization page through the Foundation: BDOG 2022.
For each non-profit organization you want to support, you can create your own fundraising page. You can share your fundraiser page with your friends and family when you ask them to join you in supporting your Sacramento non-profit of choice! We’ve created a quick tutorial for you here:
Fundraising Deadline
You’ll have until the end of the day on Thursday, May 5 to reach your fundraising goal, so aim high! Even if you don’t meet your goal, the funds you raise for 350 Sacramento will still come to us so we can keep fighting for a better climate and a better future.
A few more items to mention:
- You will receive an additional email in your inbox to verify your account. You’ll need to verify your account before you can Publish your page.
- You’ll need to set a date for your fundraiser (I just chose until May 5, which is the Big Day of Giving).
- The donation reports are helpful so that you can send personalized notes of appreciation to your fundraiser supporters! It’s extremely important to thank the people helping you out – this will encourage them to give in the future 😊

You might notice that you can’t donate just yet. That’s because the fundraising bonanza hasn’t started yet!
