Peer Support Group

Peer Support Group for Climate Activists

Are you feeling the weight of climate change and the emotional toll of environmental activism? Are you looking for a supportive community where you can recharge, connect with others, and share your journey? This volunteer-led peer support group is here to provide that space.

Important Disclaimer

The 350 Sacramento Peer Support Group is a volunteer-led, peer support space, NOT a therapy or mental health treatment group.

While we provide a safe and supportive environment for discussion, connection, and emotional well-being, this group does not offer clinical therapy, counseling, or mental health diagnosis. Participation in this group is voluntary and non-clinical, and facilitators do not serve in the role of therapists. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require professional support, we encourage you to seek help from a licensed mental health professional or crisis support service. We would be happy to help in providing resources.

What to Expect

Open Sharing

Each person will have the chance to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs in relation to their activism and environmental concerns.

Practical Tools for Coping

We’ll offer strategies for managing stress, building emotional resilience, and coping with the emotional demands of being an environmental advocate.

Collaborative Discussions

We’ll explore ways to create positive change both in our personal lives and within the climate movement, focusing on self-care, boundaries, and emotional well-being while staying active in advocacy.

Supportive Community

This is a judgment-free zone where members can express their thoughts, frustrations, and hopes while receiving support from others who truly understand what it’s like to work for environmental justice.
