The race for the Sacramento County District 5 Supervisor seat is probably the most important race in the Sacramento region in terms of equity and climate. In preparation for the June 7 Primary, the Environmental Council of Sacramento, Citizens’ Climate Lobby Sacramento Chapter, 350 Sacramento, and the Sierra Club Sacramento Group organized a zoom forum on April 26 for the candidates seeking the District 5 Supervisor seat. Candidates Pat Hume, Alex Joe, Steve Ly and Jaclyn Moreno answered questions on climate change, land use, transportation, equity, housing, business and the prospects for a clean energy economy.
