UPDATE 8/30/2020: Details about the win posted here!
To all who wrote, commented, and called to urge the Sacramento City Council to start implementing the Climate Commission’s recommendations immediately… it worked!! On August 25th, the Council passed a unanimous motion to start work on several of the most important Year One recommendations and plan to discuss it more in September. We’ll have more details about this great win soon. And stay tuned… we’ll need to stay engaged to push for more ambitious and faster climate action. For now, just bask in a job well done!
