Film Screening Team

Films have such a compelling way of bringing real world problems and their solutions to people. In these times of extreme division where the opposite sides can rarely change each others’ minds, well-crafted environmental films help people learn and understand the issues in profound ways.

When we started our film series in 2018, we connected with folks via films, potlucks and discussions in-person each month at our office as well as at other community venues. Though the pandemic has slowed our movie nights, we still have been able to use Zoom to connect and discuss together.

We need volunteers to accelerate and re-energize our online monthly film nights to bring Climate Change and other environmental topics to a wider audience in Sacramento and Beyond!

So please join us with your ideas, enthusiasm, and media skills and help make this a vibrant part of 350 Sacramento and Sactown!

So far this year we are screening the following films:

  • March: Wilder than Wild - a collaboration with Sacramento State Environmental Student organization, Sunrise Sacramento, 350, and others.
  • April: The Story of Plastic in collaboration with the new 350 Sac Plastics team
  • May: Kiss the Ground - about the huge potential for carbon sequestration by regenerative Ag.
  • June: Fracking TBD.
  • July: Environmental Justice TBD
