Sacramento County Residents – This is Why We Need You!

Written by Oscar B.

Sacramento County’s draft Climate Action Plan pays only lip service to the County’s strong Climate Emergency Declaration, ignores its direction, and fails to provide other credible measures.  The County won’t begin working on the Declaration’s 2030 carbon neutrality goal for at least three years!

Where You Come In

Supervisors can demand a strong CAP, and politicians respond to their constituents. Send your Supervisor a petition asking them to make sure the CAP fully responds to the Declaration’s urgency, ambitious goal, and direction; and that it considers land use planning, rapid electrification, effective support for electric vehicles, and all other feasible means to reduce the County’s GHG-emissions.

Easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Click here and enter your address to find your County Supervisor.
  2. Click your supervisor’s name below:
  1. When the page opens, first review the short petition. Then enter your address so your Supervisor knows that you live (and vote) in their district. Finally, click  “Add your name”.

You’re done!  We’ll make sure it gets to the right place.
